Choking Unconscious Adult

  1. Call 911
  2. See if there is a foreign body which can be swept out
  3. Attempt rescue breathing
  4. If breaths are not possible because of the foreign body perform abdominal thrusts

If Steps 1-4 are unsuccessful

  • Attempt to sweep out foreign body
  • Provide Breaths
  • Repeat Abdominal Thrusts if necessary
